Hello hello hello! This weeks Creative Folks is an amazing photographer friend of mine that I met this past summer at our first get together. I know I’ve been sharing a lot of these photographers, but it’s so cool to see how each person goes about life differently, yet we all have a passion for photography. I love it! Tiffany is a bubbly, always ready to learn and try new things kind of gal. I had a fun experience when she and I tagged along one of Neal’s underwater photoshoots and we got to take photos under water!! It was a lot of fun and doing that with Tiffany was a shoot to remember. :) Now enough about us, let’s get to know more about amazing Tiffany!
What is the first significant thing you did this morning?
Went to the restroom—always important so you don’t wet your pants (if you’re wearing any).
But really, I sit down after breakfast and read my Bible…trying to focus for the day and listening for what God wants me to hear that day.
What inspires you? When are you happiest?
I find my true joy through the Lord and people. Sometimes I feel like I live vicariously through others…I love seeing people happy. I’m inspired by God’s creation—by colors, smells, emotion…there’s always something new.
What are you trying to teach yourself right now?
To be still. To learn to say ‘no’ and be okay with it. To take time for myself and my family. Oh, you just asked for one thing? ;)
What is your favorite memory and what does it say about you?
Meeting my best friend, my first boyfriend, my husband. When I think back on how everything just ‘fell together’, it truly amazes me. God destined us to be together, and I’m sure happy He did! What does this say about me? Well, trust in the Lord. Trust in His plan and that it’s bigger than you. I’m working on the whole trusting part, daily.
Describe one accomplishment you’ve achieved. Describe one challenge that you have faced.
When wanting to ‘try’ birth photography at the beginning of 2014, falling in love, shooting 12 births (which was my goal), and having 7 in the books for 2015 is a pretty big success to me. I felt like I would just think of random things and ideas to help market myself and I feel like they worked! I’ve learned over this year what works, what to make better, and have networked myself for success. Oh, remember the whole ‘fall in love with your boyfriend thing?’. Well it’s kind of like this. It just worked.
Challenges? Oh gosh. I have trouble trusting people. I’ve been hurt so many times growing up, it’s really hard for me to let someone ‘in’ on a personal level. I trust people in business (can be stupid I know), and have many friendships, but very few know the super personal side of me. It’s nothing too exciting, I guess I just have a fear of being hurt so I tend to shut people out.
What is the last thing you did for work?
Turned off and on and reset and shut down my internet connection for the past hour, wanted to throw my computer out the window (oh technology)…. besides that just sent off my last gallery in my editing queue and wrote about 7 thank you cards with print releases. I always work best (and most) in the late evening/early morning.
And just for fun, what animal would you like to experience being for a day?
A bird. I’d love to fly around and look at the world feeling free. Oh and be able to poop on people….(did I just cross the line?!)
Thank you again Tiffany!
