Harney & Sons Tea

Hello kittens, last week I shared the Galentine’s Tea Party that I threw for my ladies and today I want to share the tea that we drank. Prepping for a party takes a lot of work, but I really enjoy it so it was fun to pick out the teas and bust out the gold rimmed tea cups. :) A few weeks before the party, I began looking for tea for everyone to drink. I wanted an array of tea; caffeine free, tea with caffeine, black tea, herbal tea, etc. I came across an amazing tea place called Harney & Sons and their site was perfect for the party. They are based in New York and have some of the finest teas around. And their sachets come in adorable tins! And if you know me, you know I love anything adorable.

After a long while of reading about each tea and what I wanted to serve, I settled on a couple of teas from the Classics in Sachets collection: Earl Grey Tea, Peppermint Tea and Paris Tea. I love how they came in individual sachets. It’s a good in between of tea bags and loose leaf. I personally choose loose leaf over tea bags any day because it has more of the tea bits instead of being crushed into tea bags. Making loose leaf beautiful to look at and have more of the tea benefits (e.g. complex flavors, evolving flavors, etc.) in every cup. Also, each of the sachets is good for two cups of tea! So learning about sachets and how it’s loose leaf tea in a silk bag made me very happy.

And from their HT Tea Blends collection I got the Vanilla Comoro Tea. This is the one I drank at the party and it was quite delicious. Another thing I like about the sachets is that you can take some with you on the go. I wouldn’t suggest dropping it straight into your purse, but rather, put it in a baggie or smaller tea tin (like these) and then putting it in your purse. That way, when you’re at a cafe or coffee shop and you want your own blend, you just need to ask for hot water. If you feel too weird about asking for hot water, then grab your thermos and boil some water at home and bring it with you. I know T brings hot water with him to work sometimes and now I can give him some sachets to have tea at work!

I also got this Stump Teapot in case any of the ladies wanted loose leaf tea (which I had in the big tea box in the top photo).

All in all, I think everyone enjoyed their tea and had a grand ol’ time. I know I did! Now I am excited to finish trying all the tea blends and order more once I am done with these. :)

What teas do you like? Let me know in the comments so I can give them a try too!

Peach + love, Jaclyn

P.S. I also gifted each lady some tea tins with a Valentine’s Blend tea.

P.SS. This isn’t a sponsored post or anything, I just wanted to share the lovely teas with you all.
