Kittens! I am back from a bit of a break to share with you some fun things to do in Wichita! Here in Kansas there may not be tons of things to do like bigger cities, but we do have places to go and hang out with friends, you just gotta know where to look. So today I am sharing two things I did with my friends this past weekend and hope it will inspire you to do the same!
Here in Wichita we’ve experienced some gorgeous weather last week/weekend and my friends wanted to soak up the sun with a little picnic in the park. How lovely! They all met me at our house in Riverside and we walked to my favorite juice joint on the corner of 11th and Bitting, Songbird Juice Co. It is the best smoothie and juice bar ever! (Side note: my friend Jessica designed their logo!). Some of my friends had never been there before, but now I’m pretty sure it’ll be their new favorite place to hang out. :)
They have cute decor, local artist’s paintings, and of course, juice and smoothies galore! I love their juices the most, but more and more am I liking their smoothies too.
Then we walked over to Riverside Park where T had our picnic blankets, food and drinks set up on the tables.
We spent the first little bit munching on crackers, hummus, and grapes while talking about life.
We also brought along some games to play: croquet, ladder-ball, frisbee and spent the rest of the afternoon laughing and hanging out.

The only way to settle who goes first: rock, paper, scissors.
Love these two ladies. They fill my heart with so much friendship and happiness.
Then there’s these guys. We have meaningful conversations then moments later they are climbing trees.
A few more moments later and more weird friends are climbing the tree. ha!
But who am I calling weird because then us girls pretend to be our cats!! Meow!
Caitlin running to get in the photo. hehe.
These girls make life fuller.
Recreating a photo we took last Spring.
Almost everybody, a few had to leave early. Thank you T for taking the photo of us all!
A few more people left and the remainder of us played a lot of frisbee until the sun went down.
What a heart filling weekend that only took some food, a park and great friends. I hope you had a lovely weekend and check out that Juice Bar if you live in Wichita! It’s really quite delicious. Have you been?
Peach + love, Jaclyn
