Hello kitty cats! Did you have a good weekend? I sure did. It was a glorious 75-80 degree weather that hinted at the beginning of autumn. Sigh. I cannot wait for the cooler days to arrive. Until then, I thought I would share with you something fun I did this weekend. Some of you may have heard about The Red Barn Outdoor Market hosted by the wonderful Nicole Strain.
I had a booth last year at the Spring Market, but this year I went as a consumer. :) I woke up early, grabbed my camera, and made my way to the big red barn.
I got there right at 9am when it opened and there was already a whole bunch of people starting to scour the booths and find great deals.
I love going to this event each time (FYI, it’s two times a year, one in the spring and one in the fall). I see old friends and new, get filled with inspiration, listen to some great music, and have an all around great time.
I met up with my friend Amy and her husband, Matt, to find some decor for our homes and Halloween.
Our tummies started rumbling after about an hour of shopping, so we made our way over to the food trucks and decided upon Funky Monkey Munchies for a snack. Now, that’s pretty much the only one I could get something because all the other food trucks were meat and as a vegetarian my options were limited. So hopefully next year the food truck Kind Kravings will be up and going and I can get some delicious foods to eat.
Matt snuck in a bite before I snapped a photo of his donut. ha! I don’t blame him tho…it looks so delish! Amy and I had pumpkin bread. Mmmm!
The other part of the RBOM that I love is the music. Sitting and listening to some awesome tunes on a glorious warm sunny day with friends? That sounds like a good day in my book. :)
After Amy + Matt headed out I caught up with my good friend Becky to shop around some more. :)
Looking so stylish in her hat and scarf!
So many people come out for this event and it couldn’t have been with out the wonderful Nicole (she’s there in the middle with the black hat below…I forgot to get a photo with her) and her amazing team. They worked so hard to get the vendors organized and ready for the hundreds and hundreds of costumers that came through, they worked with the police about the parking (tho I feel like some people need to get better at parking behind the white line), and kept a positive attitude the whole day.
Over all, a wonderful experience and something everyone should try to get out to next Spring!
Peace + love, Jaclyn
